Born at the turn of the 21st century, Bárbara Bandeira already boasts an impressive résumé. She made her professional debut in November 2015, and in just two years, in 2017, she was awarded the Golden Globe for Revelation of the Year.

In 2018, she was among the five artists nominated for Best Portuguese Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, a prize she eventually won in 2022 and again in 2024. Also in 2022, she won the Vodafone Song of the Year award at the PLAY Awards with Onde Vais, a collaboration with Carminho that has amassed over 23 million views on YouTube.

After selling out the Coliseu dos Recreios in 2021, in 2023, she performed at a packed Sagres Campo Pequeno, further solidifying her status in the national music scene. This was also the year of her highly anticipated debut album, Finda. The album features the nine-time platinum single Como Tu, in collaboration with Ivandro, along with her latest hits Carro, a duet with Dillaz, and Cristaliza. One of the biggest highlights of Bárbara Bandeira’s remarkable year was being invited by Coldplay to open for their four concerts at Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.

In 2024, the artist shone once again as the big winner in the Best Portuguese Act category at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), a distinction she had previously won in 2022. Continuing to accumulate accolades, she was also awarded Best Female Artist at the PLAY Awards. Meanwhile, she has been investing in the international expansion of her career.

In March 2025, Bárbara Bandeira released her new album Lusa: ato I, marking the beginning of a musical journey that crosses the Atlantic, uniting Portugal and Brazil in a shared soundscape. This album is the first of four acts that make up Lusa, featuring the single Fumaça, a collaboration with Brazilian rapper Veigh, which has already achieved gold certification.

This first act showcases a fusion of identities and influences that have shaped her artistry, exploring new musical styles across six intense and addictive tracks. Afro, Trap, and Urban Pop blend seamlessly in this project, which, in addition to Veigh, includes major collaborations with WIU and EU.CLIDES. Lusa: ato I is just the beginning.

Over the next two years, Bárbara Bandeira will continue to expand her sound and solidify her international presence, exploring different thematic universes with each new act.
